SoccerRockz Under 8's Trophy

This was our biggest SoccerRockz tournament so far! 13 fantastic teams battling for the right to be crowned CHAMPIONS!! Again the weather was kind to us with another warm and mostly sunny afternoon. This time the tournament took a slightly different format with teams progressing through the group stages to the Quarter Finals. This is where the excitement really kicked in!!

The tournament had everything, penalty shoot outs, goals scored in extra time, and last minute winners!! The final was played by two fantastic teams who clearly share a mutual respect for one another. After a 1-1 draw in the group stage the final was played on a knife edge!!. Both teams displaying fantastic individual players and a clear sign that grassroots football is alive and kicking!! From a neutral perspective this game was a pleasure to watch, both teams attacked with flair and speed yet defended with style and grace. Eventually the whistle blew and Santos Panthers were crowned Champions after a 2-1 win!!
